When I’m not busy making money 

I can take life nice and slow 

I like to go down to the theater 

Catch me an old time picture show

That’s how I know I’m a hopeless romantic 

Sitting there in my padded chair 

Deep inside a story of desperate lovers 

Boundless joy, deep despair 

 

And I don’t want anyone to know about the tears that flow 

Because I don’t know 

 

Where's my true love? 

Do I have to be in a movie

Or be a character in a book to feel that way? 

 

It seems so real when I see

Other people doing it 

I always cry at the end of the play 

 

So I know I can have those feelings

For someone out there 

It's a bittersweet believing in something out there

Beyond the pale
